2018 Year-End Ministry Newsletter

As this year approaches its end, I thought it would be fitting to look back and give God praise for everything He has done in my life and my ministry in 2018!

While I was involved into missions ministry to Cuba over the past three years (you can read about my past ministry projects here), November 2018 marked a one-year anniversary of my first “solo” trip to Cuba. I remember hearing God so clearly in my heart (that still voice that cannot be mistaken with anything), “You should go to Cuba again, and you should go alone.” No explanations, no purpose, no mission to accomplish. But our God is known for doing just that, calling us to step out in faith, to leave everything familiar and comfortable behind and trust HIM completely on a new journey. “Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you.” Genesis 12:1

This first step of faith was just the beginning.

2018 was an incredible year of growth for my ministry:

  • Over the course of 2018 I was able to make FOUR ministry trips to Cuba.

  • I was honored to have speaking engagements in seven different churches in the province of Matanzas. As always, my focus is on visiting and bringing encouragement to smaller church plants located in hard to reach rural places.

  • This year I was also blessed with an opportunity to partner up with Kingdom Culture School of Ministry and to teach several two-day seminars in various churches in Cuba based on the Kingdom Culture curriculum put together by Kristen D'Arpa. You can read more about Kingdom Culture School of Ministry here.

  • Another project that I had a privilege to be a part of in 2018 is the reconstruction of a church building/pastoral house in a small town of Cidra. Kingsview Community Church in Hamilton, Canada adopted this construction project after this church building was completely devastated by the hurricane Irma in 2017. With the shortage of construction materials in Cuba, the process has been slow but steady. I am hoping the pastoral family would be able to move into their new house/church soon.

  • Once again, in April 2018, I was honored to lead a team from Kingsview Community Church to Cuba to organize community outreaches and VBS schools in four different churches.

What’s Next?

As I am making greater steps of faith, I see God making the way for new ministry opportunities in Cuba in 2019.

April 2019

My current focus is on preparing another team from Kingsview Community Church to go on a short-term mission trip to Cuba in April 2019. This time our team will partner up with Young Adults Ministry in Cuba to organize a week long Christian Camp. More than 100 young adults from all across Matanzas province will be able to attend the camp free of charge. This will be the first time in the past 10 years that the youth from 17 different churches will have an opportunity to worship God together, to build each other up in God's Word and to make personal connections that will last a lifetime.

July 2019

While I will continue to minister in smaller Cuban churches and church plants, I am looking at the possibility of holding a larger Kingdom Culture conference in the city of Cardenas with more than 120 attendees.

November 2019

Over the past three years, I had an opportunity to minister in various churches in the province of Matanzas. I am excited to see God expand the geographic reach of my ministry. I recently have been offered an opportunity to speak in one of the largest churches in Cuba in the city of Havana and to hold two Kingdom Culture seminars in smaller church plants in this province.

Thank Your for Being a Part of My Ministry in 2018

As this incredible year draws to its end I would like to thank all of you who have taken time to support and encourage me over the past 12 months. Whether it is words of encouragement, humanitarian supplies drive or financial contributions, without your love and support, none of this work for God's Kingdom would be possible. I thank you all for, one way or another, being a part of my ministry in Cuba.

As we are getting ready to enter into the New Year, I am praying that your hearts and homes are filled with Hope, Love and Joy that can only come from our loving God. I am looking forward to connecting with all of you again in 2019.

- Pray -

  • Please continue to pray for my health. There are so many things that God put on my heart that I would love to do for His Kingdom. My health, however, continues to be a rather significant obstacle.

  • As my ministry grows I would love to see other people to join in. Please pray that God guides the right individuals to come along.

  • Please pray for finances. Without the faithful ongoing financial support of friends and ministry partners my missions work would not be possible!

- Give -
